Mission:

The mission of Masking Tape Productions is to create art that celebrates different points of view, including those from neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. In short, we want to experience and share more of what humanity is made of. We'd love for you to join us!

We love making stuff and learning, and we believe that more imagination and play lead to greater discoveries, which in turn, lead to more imagination and play.

With that in mind, we will continue work on several in-house projects and community partnerships (like community art galleries), AND we're always looking for opportunities to collaborate and create something new.

Whatever your project may be, reach out and share what you're dreaming up. Weird is welcome!

My origin story (condensed):

... In the Fall of 2023, a spinal condition nearly severed my spine, and left me unable to control my body from the chest down.

Fast forward to today, I'm in my early forties, and I've not only regained all physical functions, I'm in the best shape of my life.

In short, the surgical team gave me a few hardware upgrades, including a titanium cervical spinal column, and I was back on my feet the next day.

After the un-crunching of my spinal cord, I spent months learning how to process what felt like a firehose of sensory input data. A lifetime of sensory adjustments and adaptations became useless in an instant, forcing me to start over and find another level of control and self-awareness.

I should probably mention that I'm Autistic and I have ADHD.

I learned at a young age that I was different, and that it would be up to me to adapt. Nobody was coming to save me. I've been assessing and adjusting every day since. That's the source of my resilience and why I'm confident I'll always find a way.

I'm an artist and a generalist. Beyond that, it depends on what kind of project the world offers up today.
